Travel Requirements

As of July 1st, 2022, all non-residents and visitors to Bonaire are required to pay the Visitor Entry Tax; a replacement of what was formerly known as the island’s ‘room tax’ and rental ‘car tax’. Visitors 13 years and older are required to pay USD 75 per person per visit, and visitors 12 years and younger and residents of the former Netherlands Antilles are required to pay USD 10 per person per visit. Bonaire residents with a valid Bonaire I.D. (sedula) do not have to pay the Visitor Entry Tax. The mandatory tax can be paid digitally on as of the end of June 2022, or upon arrival at the airport.
