In efforts to continue to promote the new Delta Friday flight to Bonaire, TCB is launching their “Turn Your Bonaire Fakecation Into A Realcation,” Facebook contest today. The sweepstakes is open to contestants now through Monday, November 10, 2014.

To enter, contestants must create a Fakecation picture that includes a photo of Bonaire’s scenery, and a sign in the photo that reads “Delta’s Friday Flight to Bonaire.” The photo must be uploaded Facebook with the hashtag #BonaireDeltaFlight, and tagging @bonairetourism for an entry. All entries need to be received within the contest period of today through November 10, 2014 at 11:59pm.

“TCB is totally aligned with the latest digital trends and we will continue to use them to drive traffic to our Facebook page,” commented Ethsel Pieternella, Director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire. “The objective of this contest is to motivate people to create a Fakecation photo that will reflect theirideal image of what they love about Bonaire. In return, we’ll have the opportunity to make one lucky contestant’s Fakecation photo into a “realcation” by awarding them with a free trip to Bonaire as their prize.”

The winner will be announced on Bonaire’s Facebook page on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The winner will receive two roundtrip coach class airline tickets on Delta Airlines for Friday or Saturday service from their nearest US gateway city, plus a seven nights' stay for two at Eden Beach Resort Bonaire. To be eligible, entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry and legal residents of the US. Complete contest rules and regulations can be found at: (include website link to rules and regulations here).

Examples of Fakecation photos can consist of someone taking a sunglass selfie in front of one of Bonaire’s scenic views, placing their feet up a top of a desk to pretend it was taken at one of Bonaire’s beaches, etc.  For samples of Bonaire backdrops visit TCB’s image gallery.
