TCB launched the Bonaire Cuisine Month

TCB

This year TCB launched the Bonaire Cuisine Month which is a new concept for the island. An exciting program will be running for the entire month of May with a mixture of all the different cultures on Bonaire. The Bonaire Cuisine Month will showcase the culinary treasures found on Bonaire and the innovative chefs who create the delicious dishes for all to enjoy. Looking back at the fantastic presentation of the Bonaire Culinary Team at the Taste of the Caribbean and also how At Sea Restaurant was chosen as the number 1 restaurant of the Caribbean in 2014 shows how much Bonaire has to offer. This proves that our island has a lot of potential; the month of May was chosen, because it is low season and this will be a great opportunity to attract more tourists to visit the island.

The participating restaurants will offer exclusive promotions throughout the month including signature cocktails, special entrees, prix fixe menus and happy hour delights. Additional activities lined up for May include cooking demonstrations and tastings at select restaurants. During the cooking demonstrations the chefs will demonstrate how each course of a three course meal is prepared. The guests will be provided with the recipes and cooking methods for each dish and will be able to follow along while the chef demonstrates. They will then be served the course that is being prepared from the kitchen. During tastings guests can enjoy culinary delights found only on Bonaire, created by dedicated professionals.

On May 3rd the Cuisine Month started off with the first Taste of Bonaire; which was the bartender edition. For the second Taste of Bonaire taking place on May 30th; four international press members will be on the island to experience not only the Taste of Bonaire, but also the Cuisine Month. The international press consists of a Caribbean Journal member and the Traveling Gourmands.

The Cuisine Month will be promoted on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and website. For more information call the TCB office at 717-8322 or visit www.tourismbonaire.com/cuisinemonth.
