As the title sponsor for the Diving Equipment & Marketing Association’s (DEMA) largest and most recognized diver acquisition and awareness program, the Be A Diver Pool, Bonaire received extensive media presence in news coverage from the latest Be A Diver Pool Tour show. The Be A Diver Pool was on site at the 11th Annual Wounded Warriors Adaptive Watersports Festival in Breezy Point, NY, July 10 -11, introducing scuba diving to severely wounded and physically disabled troops and families.

Bonaire banners were displayed around the Pool to bring awareness to the Wounded Warriors and their families that Bonaire is one of the best places to learn how to scuba dive for people with all levels of skill and ability.  In addition to Bonaire’s signage visibility at the Pool, Bonaire’s branding was prominently displayed on air during Friday and Saturday’s coverage of the Be A Diver Pool on Fox News Channel’s National Program Fox and Friends, and Fox 5 New York evening news. Coverage of the Be A Diver Pool, which included Bonaire’s banners, was seen by an audience of approximately 1,849,102 viewers, resulting in a public relations value/potential advertising costs of $157,038. Photos of the event taken on Friday and Saturday, which included Bonaire’s logo were posted on Bonaire’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts as part of the social media coverage.

Event attendees are also able to test out some of the latest scuba equipment, and learn why Bonaire is known as one of the top scuba diving destinations in the world.
