Bonaire Cuisine Month May 2015
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has announced its Bonaire Cuisine Month program, which is slated to run the entire month of May 2015. The program was designed to showcase the varied selections of culinary treasures that Bonaire proudly offers its visitors, while supporting local businesses during the shoulder season.
“The concept of traveling to a destination specifically for its Food and Beverage product is a relatively recent mainstream consumer trend. The Bonaire Cuisine Month program allows Bonaire to leverage the trend of culinary tourism by showcasing Bonaire’s gastronomic offerings while chefs unleash their creativity on diners’ palates commented Malinda Hassell, Marketing Manager of Tourism Corporation Bonaire. “The varied menus of Bonaire’s restaurants and eateries, give us the opportunity to impress our guests. The program will encourage them to share their culinary experiences via social media which as we all know is the norm today.”
Participating restaurants will offer customized promotions throughout the month of May. Most of the specials will include prix-fixe menus, signature cocktails/entrees and happy hour specials. Additional cuisine related activities will consist of cooking demonstrations from select restaurants, a media visit comprised of top food bloggers/social media influencers and two Taste of Bonaire events. This will take place May 3rd, 2015 and May 30th, 2015.
