TCB to Launch Flamingo Fun Contest

This Saturday, April 17th, Tourism Corporation Bonaire, in collaboration with Diamond Public Relations EU, will launch a social media contest in the Dutch market.

Centered around the hashtag #FlamingoFunBonaire, the contest is meant to increase the number of followers on TCB’s Dutch social media pages and serve as a creative and fun way to interact with future island visitors while keeping the island top of mind as a tropical vacation destination in the Dutch Caribbean.

Participants may enter by creating a short 10 to 30 second video showing their best imitation of our national bird, the flamingo. Entrants can use feathers, themed outfits or any other props to help emulate a flamingo’s unique movements, walk or dance. To validate the entry, contestants must use #FlamingoFunBonaire in their post and like/follow the Dutch TCB social accounts. It is scheduled to run for 10 days, from April 17 – 27, on TCB’s Dutch Facebook and Instagram pages @BonaireToerisme. Additionally, TCB created a new TikTok account @BonaireTourism. TikTok is currently a trending platform, by using this social media platform it will give Bonaire more visibility. So, participants can also submit their entry on TikTok.

Only residents that are registered with a current address in The Netherlands can participate in this contest. Amongst qualifying entries a video will be selected at random; the winner receives a trip for two from Amsterdam to Bonaire, including roundtrip airfare and six (6) nights in a Penthouse at Resort Bonaire with daily breakfast.

The winner of the contest will be announced on May 7th, 2021 on TCB’s Dutch Facebook and Instagram pages @BonaireToerisme. The prize is valid to redeem until April 30th, 2022, based on availability.
