TCB announces that Taste of Bonaire event is cancelled
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) announces that the decision has been made to cancel the next and last Taste of Bonaire for this year. This decision is based on the developments around COVID-19, and keeping in mind the rules and regulations. The next Taste of Bonaire event that is being cancelled was on the schedule for September 26th, 2020 with the theme Tourism.
In the month of August TCB organized another event of Taste of Bonaire after months of this not being possible. Taking into consideration all the rules and regulations, the decision was made to organize it. The Taste of Bonaire event was a success, but with all the rules that had to be in place TCB couldn't fully monitor this.
The next event that TCB is evaluating to organize together with SKAL is the Bonaire Christmas Shopping Night that is on schedule to take place in December 2020.
Marketing Manager, Mrs. Derchlien Vrolijk elaborated on the participation; “The tourism office is in solidarity with the current situation and emphasize that it is of great importance for us as citizens to be responsible, and to follow the measures from the Lieutenant Governor. Take the necessary precautions to avoid activities that can create groups of people. Keep in mind to practice social distancing with 1.5 meters of distance and to avoid possibly being in contact with someone who could have the virus. Together we can keep preventing the virus.”
We want to thank the community of Bonaire, participants and partners that take part in each of the Taste of Bonaire events.
