Marshe Di Rincon is a market held in Rincon, taking place every first Saturday of the month between 8am and 4pm. Rincon is the oldest village of Bonaire and the Netherlands Antilles. The market, which is held on Rincon’s main street, offers a variety of local food, drinks, a lot of friendly people, culture and much more.

Kitesurf Crossing the Caribbean (Reto Caribe Kitesurf) 2011, March 15
The kitesurfer Alvaro Bermudez from Colombia, is planning to set a World Guinness record, crossing the Dutch Caribbean to Riohacha in Colombia. The journey would begin in Bonaire, continuing to Curacao, Aruba, Puerto Estrella, Punta Gallinas, Cabo de la Vela ending in Riohacha. It will be a solo journey of more than 700 nautical miles, very hot temperatures, winds of 25 to 38 knots and according to Alvaro, one of the most dangerous navigation area in the Caribbean and never done before by a kitesurfer in 6 days with stopovers in the previously mentioned locations.

Earth Hour 2011 will take place on Saturday 26 March at 8.30PM (local time).
Annual Bonaire Rotarally
A annual car race sponsored by Rotary Club. The race starts between the Toyota garage and the Sport Hall; with traject stops at Seru Largo, the Children’s Animal Farm at Lagun, La Sonrisa Ball Park and finish at Divi Sunset Beach. After-finish picnic lunch at Divi Sunset Beach with BBQ. Money received by tickets and funds will be used for projects in the community.
