Coral Reostoration Programme Bonaire
‘We have the island on loan from our children.’ This statement is often heard on Bonaire. That’s why the Coral Restoration Project was started on the island. It is a cultivation and restoration programme for the preservation of coral.
The aim is to take the corals from the nursery and outplant them in areas that have been damaged, for example, by hurricanes. The Coral Restoration Foundation plays an important role in this project.
The programme has now been officially launched and things are looking very promising. A lot of progress has already been made. Just check out the pictures on Facebook.
