Street Bazaars

Historic Rincon, Bonaire’s oldest Village, offers a Marshé or street market the first Saturday of every month.  Visitors and locals attend the Marshé to stroll the streets of Rincon while enjoying local foods, treats and handicrafts.  Be sure to taste some homemade kokada.  Kokada is a traditional Bonairean sweet made from fresh coconut.

Additionally, every Friday in historic ”Wilhelmina Plein” there is a street market offering handycrafts, artwork and more.  Visit the fair and browse the many plaques and monuments such as the WWII, Van Walbeeck, and Eleanor Roosevelt Monuments.

Additionally, rest on the “Welcome Seat”, dedicated August 31, 1923, as a place where Bonaireans would traditionally sit and wait for family and friends arriving by ship from Curacao.  Wilhelmina Plein is located in downtown Kralendijk, across from the Town Pier.
