Bonaire's Champions

Sorobon, at Lac on Bonaire, provides a stellar combination of wind, water, sand, and sun for some of the world’s best windsurfing.  As a result, Sorobon is the ultimate practice ground for Bonaire’s windsurfers - found training every single day!

Bonaire has a history of champion windsurfers.  In fact, windsurfing on Bonaire got its start by award winning local windsurfers:  Erwin Mueller, Olympian Constantino Patoen Saragoza and Elvis Martinus.

Additionally, Bonaire’s amateur youth (under 18) hold awards in the Pro Kids Freestyle World Championship hosted annually at Sorobon, Bonaire.

Some of Bonaire’s windsurfers are sponsored by top brands in the windsurfing industry and compete in international events and World Championships.  Follow Bonaire’s champions through the Professional Windsurfing Association’s World Championships.
