Grocery Stores

For a small island in the Dutch Caribbean, Bonaire offers quite an international menu.  Bonaire’s goods arrive weekly from neighboring islands, USA, Europe or So. America via container ships; food is without exception.   Venezuelan fruit boats also bring supplies of delicious fresh produce to Bonaire.  Find this produce in stores and downtown at the fruit market by the sea.

Bonaire’s larger grocery stores have a meat counter with an array of beef, poultry, pork and island or Dutch specialties.  Most grocery stores display essentials of spices, fresh produce, boxed and canned items.  Fresh fish can be purchased from local fisherman.

Bonaire has a combination of ‘tokos’ (convenience stores) and large grocery stores.
